The healthiest times in my life was when I was in solid routines in exercising and eating well. My friends, workmates, and flat-mates were the ones that I would exercise with and it was a part of our everyday life.
It got me thinking today when I read the news – over 50% of us are now ‘overweight’. As tempted as I am to discuss the criteria by which we are classified ‘overweight’ or ‘obese’, instead here are 10 great ideas to get you into an exercising habit.
The one I think is the most important in the long term is number 5: Surround yourself with like-minded people. Have you ever been close to someone who does not exercises and/or has a poor diet? Chances are you adopted some of their habits also.
Now, I will not be so bold as to suggest you should rid yourself of these people. Just realise that if you are serious about your long term health then you need to surround yourself with as many like-minded people as possible.
