The word diet

By Bradley

Please alter the following usage to your vocabulary:

Your ‘diet’ is what goes in your mouth, it is not something you go on.

The connotation of being ‘on a diet’ bugs me because of its lack of sustainability. I am not on a diet – my diet is all of what I eat on a daily, weekly, yearly basis.

If you do happen to be making drastic changes, mostly unfounded or based on incredibly optimistic theories or proposed mechanisms, in the short term hoping to lose fat then you are ‘dieting’. Thanks for making this change. This should avoid a lot of confusion and annoyance.
